Celebrating Community, Appreciation, and Springtime Fun Across CareCore
May was filled with special outings, festive celebrations, and meaningful recognition across the CareCore family. From National Nursing Home Week activities and Mother’s Day gatherings to community events and resident outings, our communities embraced opportunities to connect, celebrate, and create lasting memories. Here’s a look back at some of the moments that made May memorable.

Margaret Hall – Creative Aging Cincinnati Event

Several residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Oakley Cincinnati Recreation Center, where Creative Aging Cincinnati hosted an entertaining performance featuring music, dancing, skits, and audience participation. The lively event brought smiles and laughter to everyone in attendance.

Lakeridge – Picnic in the Park

Residents spent a beautiful day outdoors enjoying a picnic at the park. Along the way, they spotted cardinals, butterflies, and catfish, explored a sensory garden, and shared a delicious lunch together.

CareCore at Gaymont – Nursing Home Week Proclamation

National Nursing Home Week kicked off with a special visit from the Mayor of Norwalk, who stopped by to officially read a proclamation recognizing the important role of nursing home communities.

Willowood – Mother’s Day Tea Party

Residents celebrated Mother’s Day with a lovely tea party, enjoying sweet treats, conversation, and special moments together.

Montgomery – Dress Up Day

Residents and staff embraced creativity and fun during Dress Up Day, bringing extra energy and excitement to the community.

Heritage – Human Slot Machine Fun

Staff members brought plenty of laughter and friendly competition to the day with a unique human slot machine game enjoyed by residents and team members alike.

Main Street – Monthly Birthday Celebration

Residents gathered to celebrate monthly birthdays with cupcakes, ice cream, coffee, tea, and good company, honoring another year of memories and friendship.

Westmoreland – Free Clothing Store Event

Advancing Abilities partnered with Westmoreland to provide a free clothing store for residents, offering practical support and a wonderful community resource.

Music, games, prizes, laughter, and festive fun filled the day as residents celebrated Cinco de Mayo together.

Mentor – National Nursing Home Week Kickoff

Mentor kicked off National Nursing Home Week with Movie Trivia, where staff tested their knowledge of comedy and horror films while enjoying fun prizes and treats.
As May comes to a close, we’re grateful for the many opportunities to celebrate, connect, and create meaningful experiences together. Whether through community partnerships, special events, or everyday moments of joy, our residents and staff continue to make CareCore communities vibrant and welcoming places to call home. We look forward to all the memories still to come this summer.
