Residents were thrilled to celebrate 2 major anniversaries this summer!
One small step for man, one giant step for cheese! Resident’s celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing with a special homemade cheeseball (the moon is made out of cheese, right?). Residents also enjoyed moon landing trivia and games, prizes, and the film “FIRST MAN”.
Things got groovy on August 21st when we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Woodstock. Activities hosted “Lakestock 19” and residents enjoyed a day of flower child fun, music trivia and groovy games. The day was ended with a special concert featuring Woodstock songs while enjoying raspberry sorbet. The best part of it all was residents enjoyed reminiscing about their lives in the 60’s and where they were when these two magnanimous events took place.
